SYSTEM BLUEPRINT Before diving into high-fidelity design, I mapped the entire Seller Hub architecture to establish the relationships between Inventory, Fulfillment, and Live Commerce.
This blueprint served as the single source of truth for the engineering team, ensuring a seamless data flow across the ecosystem.
OVERVIEWTransformed the robust desktop listing engine into a streamlined mobile-first experience, enabling sellers to launch products and manage inventory instantly from anywhere.
CHALLENGE
Porting the desktop dashboard to mobile presented a density challenge. The web version relied on expansive forms for complex logistics (like dimensions and multi-channel settings). The goal was to retain this granular control without overwhelming the small screen, requiring a shift from "comprehensive data entry" to "rapid, linear workflows."
The architecture below visualizes how I condensed multi-channel product management into a unified mobile pathway. By leveraging AI-assisted recognition at the start of the flow, I reduced manual input needs, allowing sellers to move from "Image Upload" to "Active Listing" in minimal steps.
IMPACT This unified architecture reduced the learning curve for multi-channel selling, enabling merchants to list products ~3x faster on mobile compared to the legacy web workflow.
AI-Accelerated Multi-Channel:
ListingReduces manual data entry by utilizing AI image recognition to auto-fill product attributes. This flow demonstrates the system's ability to configure a single inventory item for three distinct sales channels (Auction, Live, Marketplace) simultaneously with persistent state memory.
Live Commerce Scheduling & Asset Assignment:
A time-based management flow allowing sellers to assign specific inventory to future Live Show slots. Focuses on temporal organization and status management rather than attribute creation
Inventory Reactivation & Context Switching:
Solves the 'dead stock' problem by allowing sellers to import and reconfigure unavailable inventory for the Marketplace channel. Features a seamless 'Switch' interaction that preserves product data while allowing specific attribute updates for the new sales channel.
OVERVIEWTransformed the dense web dashboard into a dedicated mobile Fulfillment System. This redesign creates a focused workspace for sellers to ship, track, and manage orders instantly within the app, decoupled from general account settings.
CHALLENGE
Desktop shipping was buried in complex pages requiring deep scrolling. The challenge was to flatten this hierarchy for mobile. I needed to design a linear workflow that handles complex logistics like Order Consolidation and Custom Insurance without overwhelming sellers during fast-paced operations.
The following structural map visualizing the dual-path system for Shipping and Local Pickup. This architecture simplifies complex backend logic including order consolidation for shipping savings and granular financial states like partial returns.
For shipping, I implemented an intelligent consolidation detection system that proactively identifies multiple orders from the same buyer, allowing sellers to merge them into a single shipment to save costs.
For local transactions, I introduced a secure handshake protocol where sellers must validate a unique "Pickup Code" before releasing goods, ensuring proof of delivery without paperwork.
IMPACTThis architecture optimized both operational speed and financial security. The smart consolidation feature reduced shipping overhead for power sellers by enabling one-tap order merging. Meanwhile, the code-based verification system effectively eliminated disputes for local pickups, creating a "zero-trust" environment that protects both the buyer and seller during in-person handoffs.
Smart Shipping & Secure Verification:
The system optimizes logistics with two distinct flows.
The shipping workflow automatically detects mergeable orders for the same address to prevent redundant costs.
Meanwhile, the local pickup flow replaces manual updates with a code-based authentication system, requiring a 4-digit PIN to validate the hand-off.
